Star Wars Episode IX Rumor: This Legendary Villain Might Come Back

Star Wars Episode IX Rumor: This Legendary Villain Might Come Back

Filming has reached the third week for the Star Wars 9 being directed by J.J. Abrams, and it has become tougher to contain all the secrets undercover for the film. Now a rumor claims that a legendary villain will be back in the last movie of the Skywalker saga. From a particular standpoint, this is logical because the film is supposed to be the culmination of three trilogies.

If we believe the buzz, there is going to be a devastating scene in the next Star Wars episode and SPOILER ALERT; the scene features Kylo Ren and Anakin Skywalker as well as the return of Darth Vader. This can’t be possible, right? Well, that is what we have heard until now. We don’t rule out the possibility of this being a deliberate attempt to mislead the fans by Lucasfilm.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens introduced us to Ben Solo, who had started operating under the evil name Kylo Ren when he was being trained by Supreme Leader Snoke to become a Sith Lord. Kylo was mesmerized by his grandfather Darth Vader and had ventured across the galaxy gathering memorabilia and accessories. Among his beloved possessions was the melted helmet of Darth Vader, which he often used to talk to, vowing to complete Vader’s mission. That part wasn’t shown in The Last Jedi, and that was one of the reasons fans disliked the film.

No matter what your opinion is about The Force Awakens or The Last Jedi, the loyal fan base of Star Wars has made it clear that they are keen to see more of the original content from the first trilogy. It seems like J. J. Abrams is going to give them that.

For a long time rumors have been doing rounds about Abrams’ plans to link the three trilogies, spin-offs and TV shows in Star Wars 9, and that sounds a bit too grand. The film is expected to be the longest Star Wars movie until now, and a lot of speculation is about it being divided into two parts, which might result in fans getting Star Wars: Episode X. Although, there is no official statement about that.

Darth Vader has been central to the whole Skywalker saga, and he was last seen in Rogue One. His appearance turned out to be the best things about the film, despite it being contrary to everything that we saw in A New Hope. One thing is certain that Abrams and Lucasfilm will try and leverage the iconic villain in any possible manner.

That possibility might come in the form of a scene that will use and depict both aspects of the character. Therefore, we are going to see Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker both. We know about the existence of Force Ghosts. Obi-Wan Kenobi came back from the dead in The Empire Strikes Back, and we have seen Yoda, Anakin and Qui-Gon (only in cartoons), make a comeback as the Force Ghosts. The Force Awakens established the premises of, i.e., flashbacks using the power of Force vision.

It is speculated that one such Force Vision will feature Darth Vader, experienced by Kylo Ren as he struggles with his lineage. Below is a narration of the painful scene featuring Kylo Ren, Anakin and Darth Vader alongside each other.

“(It shows) Kylo Ren standing in what appears to be a new throne room for himself. In front of him is a window, a wide window looking out to space. In the window is a reflection of what seems to be a hybrid Force ghost of Anakin’s face – half of which is Anakin, half of which is Vader.”

We have seen concept art online which features this scene, but, often a great deal of concept art made for Star Wars films goes unused. The source who leaked this concept art piece, also disclosed the last moments of Luke on his meditation rock, on Ahch-To, and it was leaked before the release of The Last Jedi. The Force Awaken’s official book reveals that J.J. Abrams was interested in using a hybrid Darth Vader Anakin Force Ghost in the movie, but, the plan was scrapped. According to the latest buzz, he will use some of his original ideas in this new movie. We have heard about the rumors related to a hybrid Darth Vader/Anakin Force Ghost, and we also know that Luke will be back. J.J. Abrams has officially confirmed about Luke’s death, so the Skywalker warrior is expected to appear as a Force Ghost. We also hear about the comeback of Obi-Wan as a Force Ghost. Therefore, we think the movie might be called Star Wars Episode IX: The Force Ghosts Assemble.

The current trilogy has shown how Kylo Ren has found it difficult to deal with the light and the dark side both tempting him. He considers his grandfather to be his idol. Therefore, to see Anakin help dig deeper into this might be a mighty and emotional way for the ending of Ben Solo’s arc. We have seen Kylo Ren talk to Vader’s headgear. In Star Wars Episode IX, we might see Vader respond to his grandson. The movie hits theatres in December next year. This news has been shared by Express UK.
