‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ Movies And TV Series To Land On Netflix Soon

It seems like the whole world is about to get a new Aslan. The Chronicles of Narnia has now teamed up with Netflix for an all-new adaptation. According to a few reports, the C.S. Lewis series will be adapted by Netflix through movie and TV.

“C.S. Lewis’ beloved Chronicles of Narnia stories have resonated with generations of readers around the world,” Ted Sarandos (Chief Content Officer-Netflix) had said.

“Families have fallen in love with characters like Aslan and the entire world of Narnia, and we’re thrilled to be their home for years to come.”

According to this report, the deal was made between The C.S. Lewis Company and Netflix and the studio will now develop Lewis’ story into a Narnia universe which will consist of movies and TV shows. The titles will be Netflix productions and will be made with Mark Gordon of Entertainment One with Vincent Sieber and Douglas Gresham. This trio will also oversee the universe’s development, and the new report has also confirmed that Netflix has acquired the 7 Narnia book written by Lewis.

“It is wonderful to know that folks from all over are looking forward to seeing more of Narnia and that the advances in production and distribution technology have made it possible for us to make Narnian adventures come to life all over the world,” Douglas Gresham had said.

“Netflix seems to be the very best medium with which to achieve this aim, and I am looking forward to working with them towards this goal.”

“Narnia is one of those rare properties that span multiple generations and geographies,” Mark Gordon, (eOne’s President) had added.

“eOne and I are excited to be collaborating with The C.S. Lewis Company and Netflix who have the capacity to translate the Narnia universe into both stellar feature-length and episodic programming. We cannot wait to get started on the multiple productions we hope to undertake.”

The Lewis franchise has dived deep into live-action as The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe had released in the year, 2005. Till date, the Walt Disney Pictures franchise has produced three movies, and the 4th one is in development with The Silver Chair.
