In John Wick 3: Parabellum, we will see the Keanu Reeves’ portrayal of a one-man-army anti-hero return to theatres next summer, and now an official image has been released that would be easily identified by the fans. You can take a look at this fierce chase scene, where the titular character rides a horse!
It can be seen in the image that it would appear in the upcoming Empire Magazine issue which will have a detailed analysis of the third John Wick movie. This is a random tease given by the series director Chad Stahelski about the kind of chaos that fans might witness in the third film. He said it features, “horses, dogs, cats, a raven, a bunch of pigeons, a motorcycle chase, car chase, Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, shotguns and ninjas.”
Frankly, all the above sound ideal for a fantastic action-movie feel ad that must ensure that John Wick remains among the top “must-watch films” of 2019.
John Wick: Chapter 2 ended when John broke the laws of the crime-world, by murdering the High Table member Santino D’Antonio inside the sanctuary of The Continental. This step compelled other players like Winston (Ian McShane), and Charon (Lance Reddick) to deny protection to John, and the ruling powers gave a go-ahead contract on him, informing all the assassins active in New York City that John Wick was to be hunted down.
Parabellum starts right at the point where Chapter 2 signed out, and John needs to fight his way out of the New York City, which has now become a death-trap since assassins are present at every nook and corner. The premise suggests that we will see a non-stop streak of violence across the NYC limits, and it is fascinating, to say the least. We are also excited to find out about the various types of assassins that might be featured in the film. Since John is now not able to access the “company services” that he used in the first two chapters, he will have to be innovative with his killing style. We saw some pretty cool sequences featuring Reeves and Stahelski in the second movie, and that makes us believe that the third film won’t have anything less.
Laurence Fishburne joins the cast of John Wick 3 as the Bowery King, an underground crime lord, Anjelica Huston will play the director of the High Table, and martial arts actor Mark Dacascos and comedian Jason Mantzoukas will play assassins “Zero” and “Tick Tock Man” respectively.
John Wick 3: Parabellum is scheduled to release on May 17, 2019.
