New set images have been leaked from the upcoming MCU movie, Avengers 4, and these reveal the new iteration of Steve Rogers’ uniform that we had seen in Captain America: Civil War (2016), and it is a scaled costume with darker colors. The leaked photos are the first genuine glimpse of the suit that the Captain would wear in next year’s movie. The photos were shared on Twitter by a fan news account DC Marvel Unite. You can take a look at them below:
For most of his comic book run, Captain America has worn a scaled costume, right from the time he debuted in Captain America Comics #1 in 1941, created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. Despite there being numerous references to Captain’s comic book looks during his MCU appearances, this costume is likely to be the most loyal to the comic book costume of the iconic hero.
The clean-shaven Chris Evans had been seen earlier on the movie’s set in Atlanta at the time of the start of reshoots, and this is expected to be the last time he played the Star Spangled Avenger.
Joe and Anthony Russo have directed Avengers 4 and the film’s cast includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Brie Larson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Evangeline Lilly, and Josh Brolin.
Avengers 4 is listed for a release on May 3, 2019.
